How does the modularity of the SES-PRO system work?
The arm is built using the Servo Erector Set Pro (SES-PRO) system, which uses standardized carbon fiber tubes and aluminum clamps. You can easily change the tubing lengths to adjust reach and payload, or add/remove Lynxmotion Professional Smart Servos to change the degrees of freedom (Do F) from 5 to 4 or 6 depending on your application.
What software is required to control this arm?
The arm uses a human-readable LSS-P communication protocol over a CAN Bus. It is fully supported by ROS2 with dedicated packages available on the official Lynxmotion Git Hub repository. Additionally, a dedicated User Interface software is available for initial setup, zero calibration, and manual control.
